This is my take on Svadilfari. Legend says that there was a disguised giant who offered to build a giant wall around Asgard. As payment he requested the goddess Freyja. The Aesir gods agreed but they gave him very little time to complete the task. If he did not succeed he would not receive his payment. What they didn't expect was that the builder was helped by a stallion called Svadilfari. He carried large stones and made the labor much easier. The gods saw he was almost done with the wall way ahead of time so Loki transformed into a beautiful mare and distracted the stallion. Loki became pregnant and gave birth to the eight legged horse called Sleipnir. Weird, huh?
Will post the next one tomorrow.
