Dealing with art block

I like to think of myself as an artist with more ideas than time to make them. I like to produce personal works and sketches in my free time and between projects. That was until recently, a few weeks ago I fell into a bad case of art block. I've had it before but it had been a few years since I'd gone through it. I recently bought some Blackwing pencils to try them out. I had the intention to make some traditional art because I enjoy it. I had the blank page in front of me and a freshly sharpened pencil in my hand and zero inspiration. I guess I was intimidated or just felt I needed to make something truly special to make it worth it. I had a project for a client where I had to study a different artist's art style and so this got me to sketch out traditionally and I felt the art block going away little by little. I came across some images of horned animals on Pinterest and that inspired me to sketch out some satyrs. I had a lot of fun sketching out these male and female satyrs. I might make something more developed with these. I guess my advice would be to chip away at the art block by sketching freely without the fear of mistakes or the importance of the artwork. Make many crappy sketches. Get them out of your system and the better sketches will make their way through. Hope this helps.
